Welcome to the world Amelia Grace Lowe!
What a difference a year can make as just a year ago our oldest nephew (the oldest of the next generation) was married to his lovely wife in Wisconsin.
Jason and Alene were married in her hometown in Wisconsin where they make their home. They broke the news in the fall that Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Harriett were to become grandparents for the first time. I did enjoy some of the "old grandpa" jokes with Jimmy as this brother, who is closest in age to me, has never let an opportunity slip by to kid me about being an old grandma.

Alene began posting updates re: the pregnancy on Facebook around Christmas time.
Grandma Harriet and Aunt Michaela flew to Wisconsin last week to help prepare for the baby. They provided updates all yesterday as Alene as in labor as 06.23.12 began. At 1:13pm on 06.24.12, Amelia Grace Lowe made a grand entry via c-section. All are doing well. Grandpa Jimmy and Uncle Caleb will soon be in Wisconsin.

Sunday at the pool
They didn't go to sleep until almost 11pm so they didn't wake up until about 7:30am, but it was still full steam ahead! Poppa went to work while Charlotte, Maddie, Jack, and I expended our excess energy in the pool. Um, really, I had to keep moving to stay awake as I had to go get Charlotte from work about 1:30am then couldn't go to sleep until almost 3 am. 4.5 hours is not enough sleep to keep up with these two!
Kristy picked the kids up after lunch, Charlotte went home to go to bed, and I took a nap on a float in the pool.

Sunny Saturday
A lovely morning at the pool (just me and other adults)then a little shopping in the late afternoon. The whirlwind blew in this evening.

Happy Father's Day!
A day on the water. We launched @ Cherry Point on Wadmalaw,went over to Steamboat Landing and beyond on the back of Edisto then back around Bohicket Marina. I had a nice nap on the boat after a margarita.
