Cars and Princesses

We are now the owners of a Cars bed and a Princess bed. We packed away Jack's port-a-crib and he is now sharing the loft with Mimi's books and computer. Madison is sharing with Carrie while Charlotte is sharing with Carrie's kitty, Bella.

Yikes, we need a bigger house or an extreme makeover.

Singing on a cold morning.

Jack sang and talked all the way to preschool this morning. Maddie joined in at times, but mostly concentrated on turning Dora Doll into Baby Jesus.

A little static electricity.

The Girls

Carrie kept Maddie entertained while Charlotte had her gameboy on the way to church. Maddie has been here all weekend. Jack was here Friday night, but will be back this afternoon. Poor Gene was busy with all of them while I was in Beaufort until Saturday afternoon.

Halloween weekend

We took Jack and Maddie to school on Friday in their costumes for a Halloween parade and story day. Gene and I then went out of town together without dependents for the first time since 1992.
We took our time as we stopped @ B and N in Mt. P., the Awendaw Center, the Hammock Shops on Pawley's Island, then on to Kingston Plantation for two very quiet nights. The quiet was only partly due to no children as the cough I was given by Jack and Maddie turned into laryngitis.
Back to Charleston this afternoon in time to carve a pumpkin with Charlotte, take the children trick or treating and to celebrate Jack's birthday a little early with cupcakes.

Just about the best time of the year.

Wonderful weather,a three day weekend, just enough time with the grands - only one night , visiting with my best friend and Zeta big sister from college at her daughter's wedding, and going to see The Social Network this evening. Oh yes, back to Walden Books after the wedding to pick up more books. I was able to meet a favorite regional author, Patti Callahan Henry, during a book signing last weekend. Josie has learned a new trick from Madison. She is no longer afraid of the swing, can jump on and swing on her own.
