First Sunday of Advent

Mass, brunch at Bagel Nation, more work on playhouse while I took Charlotte to a pre-orientation at Publix this afternoon. She has her uniform now and is on the schedule for orientation this week!

Post Turkey Day

Poppy and Maddie went fishing on Folly Beach on Black Friday. I had an appointment at Urban Nirvana. Charlotte had a Medicare visit due to an URI.
We did shop on Saturday for the crossbeam and swing for Maddie's playhouse.

We visited Carrie and family in Sylvania, GA.

Daniel turns 2!

Daniel celebrated his 2nd birthday at home in Georgia on Thursday. Carrie brought the boys for a visit this weekend. We went to Home Team BBQ for a birthday lunch this afternoon. Yay, Charlotte is going home with Carrie until Thanksgiving!! On a side note, I was on an early morning news show as Mattress Firm partners with local foster care organizations in a holiday toy drive.

Civic Duty, Moral Fury

The ladies in our home have been very vocal about our political leanings. Charlotte and I voted for who we hoped would become Madame President. It is difficult to reconcile the progress of the past 8 years with the new President (not by majority vote) elect.
We will continue to do our part in trying to make the world a better place each day.
The best news of all? Charlotte has a job!  She has passed two interviews and a background check. She will begin an orientation period as soon as a drug test is back. Yay for Publix and their willingness to work with Charlotte!
