Wild Dunes Afternoon

A short nap, some fishing, lots of playing.

It was a party of one as Charlotte and Maddie went to visit KT (first visit since July 1st). Gene helped my brother build a deck and I had several hours of freedom. Lunch at Johnnie's , a walk then a nap on the beach.

Mournful Friday

Carrie's mother-in-law passed away this morning. I left work to help them prepare for a trip back to Georgia. We went to Marshalls for funeral clothing for the family. I found that I am now a brand of shoes and on sale! I added a couple of pictures of Charlotte from a recent fishing/bait catching trip.

Bagel Nation for brunch, kettle corn for a snack, spaghetti dinner with Carrie and family.

A Fall Saturday

A chill is in the air this evening after a windy day. Charlotte and Maddie were out and about with me today. Charlotte said standing up through 18 holes of putt-putt made her knee sore!

Friday Night Family Dinner

The kiddos love Los Reyes. Spencer and Maddie were impressed by the large margaritas at a neighboring table. Daniel was just impressed with Poppy's nose.

A Day of Leave

I had a couple of medical appointments, then a scheduled service for my car (love the Kia service plan). I had about an hour and half between appointments so went out to Sullivan's Island for a brief walk since I was already in Mt. Pleasant. A nice interlude on a Wednesday.

Isle of Palms Sunday

We went to the north end of the IOP for the fishing. Poppy and Charlotte enjoyed the fishing, Maddie played all afternoon, I read and took a nap. Thank Goodness fie some sunshine and time outside.

Friday in Beaufort

Palmetto 3 meeting at USCB, back home in time for Friday night dinner at Los Reyes.

Rain? 12" and Still Raining!

Good drainage and no flooding in the 4 to 5 miles around my house. Major flooding in Oakbrook and many other areas. We had a break in the rain and Carrie and family came over in their truck for dinner. Home in time for curfew!

Wet, High Tide Flooding

I was in Beaufort on Tuesday and it was cloudy and muggy. I went to Pawleys Island Wednesday evening in the rain. Business all day Thursday, but a stop at the Hammock Shoppes and a drive along the causeway as the tide was rising before heading home Friday afternoon. Note to self, don't do causeway at high tide again. Home in time for torrential rains and flooding in Charleston. We are now under Opcon 1 with a 6 pm until 7 am curfew tonight.
