8" of rain, mostly overnight, equals flooding throughout the lowcountry and major morning traffic. The street behind my brother's street flooded into houses, some had to be rescued.

Left Behind
We woke up this am to find Poppy had gone fishing. Oh well, we enjoyed time at the pool until the storms rolled in.

Back to School
Maddie is still at the STAR program, but began 4th grade classes on site through Education, Inc, a joint venture between the local school districts and MUSC. Her new glasses came in today. Let's hope they are a little more sturdy than the last 2 pairs. We have been enjoying a sort of vacation this week as Charlotte has been with Carrie while Wes has been out of town. The groceries I bought on Saturday have actually been in the cabinets and/or fridge when needed. Poppy did venture into her room and found 11 cans of partially drunk soda, lots of dirty dishes, cups and utensils, etc on the floor. No one has the energy for a full clean up knowing she will just trash it again when she comes home Friday.

Danny Boy
Daniel will be 9 months old tomorrow. He had his 9 month check up last week and is ahead in most developmental milestones. He has 4 teeth, says 3 words clearly, shakes his head yes or no, crawls until he can pull up and walk around furniture. He can now stand up on his own for a few seconds. Maddie enjoyed her new float in the pool today.

Palmetto Island w/ Charlotte
Poppy took Charlotte fishing today. I spent the last day of my vacation running errands and getting Maddie's annual eye exam.
