Gene's brother and part of their family visited from Florida.
We spent much of the day @ Palmetto Islands Cty. Park.

Sunday in Beaufort
It was a workday for Mimi as we left Charleston @ 7am so we could be setting up for Children's Day @ the Water Festival in Beaufort by 9 am.
A couple of pictures of Maddie before the festivities began. Poppy was on Maddie duty as Mimi worked the festival.
Maddie enjoyed all the games, slides, jump castles, and the rain tent, but thought the shrimp boat tour smelled a little too much like shrimp!

Shoep, A Dog's Life
This picture introduced Shoep and John to the world last year.
John cradled Shoep in the lake to ease Shoep's joint pains.
John began a Facebook page sharing Shoep's days.

I breathe but I cannot catch my breath, Shoep has passed.
Shoep celebrated his 20th birthday earlier this summer.

An almost cross country move
My oldest nephew moved to Wisconsin a few years ago start a new life with his soon to be bride.
They are now moving to the lowcountry with a one year old, Amelia Grace.
