Mandolin Orange @ Awendaw Green Barn Jam 1/31/13
I love Mandolin Orange and was fortunate enough to be able see them this week @ Awndaw Green. I met them after their set as Gene and I enjoyed our first oysters of the year with one of the food vendors.

Biking on a cool Sunday
We took the bikes to Wescott Plantation this afternoon and rode through the neighborhoods. This is a pic of Carrie and Wes's new home in one of the subdivisions. I believe this picture is about two weeks old as the house is a little more finished and should be ready for closing on 02/19.
I find it humerous that Carrie and Wes do not believe the fourth bedroom is for Charlotte?!
It was overcast and cold by the time we visited my brother and his family on the way home this evening.

Back to Beaufort
I was back in Beaufort for the second of three day long classes I co-facilitated with a colleague. The scenery and the lovely town make up for having to work on a Saturday.

Sunday, Beautiful Sunday
I believe Charlotte had the flash on when she took this picture. I love Maddie listening to the baby.
Charlotte and Jack playing before lunch @ Wildwings.
Off to the playground @ the Mt. Pleasant Pier.
Carrie rocking Spenser.
A motley crew on a beautiful day.

Sunny January Saturday
It was a good day with the children. They were almost too tired to eat our take-out Chinese dinner this evening.

Thursday in Beaufort
It was 82 degrees when I left Charleston about noon today. USCB then the Beaufort office about 3:30 with the wind beginning to pick up. It rained a lot in places as I spent the rest of the afternoon in the field. The double rainbow took place about 5:30 as I was traveling east on St. Helena Island. It was about 55 degrees as I left the Beaufort office about 7pm.

Sunny Sunday on the IOP
It was a beautiful day ( and my only day off in the last seven days) so we took the bikes to the IOP.
Our bikes were bookends at this bike drop @ the Wild Dunes Marina.
Gene remarked that he had to "reconsider the whole global warming thing," as we saw two orange trees with a lot of fruit in the trees and on the ground. The temperatures were about 80 degrees everywhere except the shade today.

Saturday in Beaufort
It was 65 degrees on the way to Beaufort about 8 am today. There is a lot of low and wetlands along 17 South so the fog was heavy most of the way.
It was about 82 degrees as I went back by the office around 4 pm.
There are worse places to have to work on a Saturday.
Another special day to mark, we wish Lara the happiest of birthdays!

Last day of Christmas, the Epiphany of the Lord
We had a good start to Sundays in 2013. Mass @ the Cathedral in the am, lunch @ Home Team Bar-B-Que where Charlotte and I shared a platter, a nursing home visit- ok the least favorite part of the day, ending the day @ Yobe yogurt. My yogurt dish is in the middle as they only have no sugar added chocolate yogurt so I enjoy the fruit condiments, almonds and whipped cream and mine costs the least.
