Flowertown Festival

This is a big tourist weekend in Charleston as well as a weekend of activities for locals. About 44,000 people participated in the Cooper River Bridge Run this morning. The Flowertown Festival is underway for the weekend in Summerville. The Cajun Festival will be held on James Island on Sunday.

This is just one avenue of the festival. It has grown so much over the years with row after row of vendors. It took about 3 hours for Gene and I to walk most of it. I bought some painted metal flowers and a metal sculpture for the yard.

A new, old boat

Kristy was able to trade for this some time last year, has worked on it most of the winter, and was able to buy a motor a couple of weeks ago. A few test runs later and Kristy took her dad out for a spin along with Maddie.
