All Hallowed Eve's Eve!

Jack and Maddie were full of energy today. They spent the day with Mimi and Poppy and wore us out.
We had lots of plans,but not enough time, and they needed to expend their energy. After a morning snack, we went to the Scarecrow on the Square Exhibit in Summerville, went to Target, had a late lunch at Moe's then to the Gahagan Park in Summerville for a couple of hours. They were still wide open when we took them home about 6:30pm. I'll bet they sleep good tonight.

Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives "Tempted"

We went to the Coastal Carolina Fair to see one of Gene's favorites: Marty Stuart. It was really good even if not your favorite style of music.

The Fair - I still don't like it. It has been nine years since I have been and hope it is much longer than that before I think it is a good idea to go again. As much as I would like to see Crystal Bowersox in person, I can't imagine going again next week.

Behind The Scenes With Brad Pitt On 'Moneyball'

Moneyball is my favorite movie of 2011. It reminds me of other good Brad Pitt movies such as A River Runs Through It, The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Inglorius Basterds (w/ one of the best movie lines ever: "We're in the Nazi killin' business and business is booming.")

Jack and Maddie spent the night with us and woke up with lots of energy so we played on the porch before breakfast. We went to the neighborhood park later in the morning. They were worn out by the time they left for the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch with Kristy.

Adventures with Jack

Mimi had the pleasure of spending the day with Jack. We went to an agency event on the old Navy Base, visited the (relatively) new waterfront park near the old officers' housing, then visited my mom at the nursing home. Jack is speaking in sentences most of the time and asks lots of questions.

Shrimp Baiting Season

Captain Jimmy and Castnetter Gene went shrimping Friday night and Saturday night. They "coolered out" both nights. The limit each trip is a full 48 gallon cooler.
