It snowed in Charleston today. It snowed all afternoon, but no accumulation.

Christmas Spirit

Madison and Jack are really in the Christmas Spirit. Jack really liked all of Maddie's toys, especially the dolls.

Josie caught Santa in our house!

Jack and Maddie after the Children's Mass. We had just checked NORAD and found that Santa was heading to North America. Seems like he made it.

4th Sunday in Advent

Jack joined Madison in the nursery about half way through mass. It is nice that Jesus loves Jack and that Jack is in Jesus house, but not so loudly over and over! We spent time visitng Santa and riding the train at the Mt. P. Town Centre after mass.

Our Snowflake in the DIA K4 Production of the Nutcracker

Maddie did great in her role as a Snowflake today. Of course, she had to let it all out in the after party!

A day with Maddie

Maddie was enthralled by the production of The Nutcracker @ the Gaillard Auditorium. The Manatee and Stingray classes @ DIA filled the first two rows. Maddie was enthralled by the first act and a little more restless by the end of the second act as she was sitting beside her best friend. Lunch and shopping in the early afternoon, but no white leotards at the Princess Tides. Have to get one by the first of the week as the Manatees and Stingrays are rehearsing for their own production of The Nutcracker and Miss Maddie is a Snowflake.

Harbor Boat Parade

This was a childless event as Uncle David and Aunt Kim babysat while we went to Gene's company Christmas party on the Carolina Belle.

Farmer's Market

Slides, jump castles, and pony rides rounded out the children's activities.

Happy Birthday Jesus Party

The Daughters of Pauline held their annual Happy Birthday Jesus party on 12/04. The kids role played the manger scene, had cake, cookies, and punch, and played along with a flute player.

Black Friday - no shopping for us!

Gene took the girls out job hunting while I took Jack and Maddie out for the day. We went to IOP this am to play before it began to rain. We visited my mom in the nursing home, haircuts for the kiddies, and last stop at Jump In! They were so busy that they were both asleep by 8:30 tonight.

Thanksgiving Walk

Jack, Madison and I took a walk in the undeveloped section of our neighborhood Thursday morning. Jack was so tired after the walk that he needed a nap before lunch.Kristy came over for lunch and took them for a while. I think that is what the rest of the household was the most thankful for ... a few hours of peace and quiet!

Spending time with Poppa

Poppa entertained Jack and Madison on Saturday. They eventually were able to get the front yard raked!

Charlotte

Charlotte came home on Saturday afternoon after 3 nights at Roper. She is feeling much better after the IV antibiotics.

Jack loves pie!

Jack loves meal time and is not very picky. I bought a coconut custard pie at Publix tonight as we had only had yogurt for dessert for a while. It seems to be a favorite with Jack.

Weekend Update

Jack and Maddie have been with us 5 nights in a row. I am glad we are able to help, but hope they will be safely home in the near future.

They are definitely full of energy.Carrie and I had our hands full as we took them to evening mass while Gene and Charlotte went to see the Doobie Brothers tonight.Jack did really well, while Maddie made it to the homily - then off to the nursery with her! Jack said a 5 word sentence today. "I want my Jeje book, Poppa." That is the first thing he said to Poppa this am. His first words this am were "Mimi - truck" as he pointed to his pjs. Thank goodness he slept in - about 7:15am.
