Tuesdays can be tiring.

MUSC before 8 am for a first  appt., another at 10, Maddie back to school in Summerville before noon, a quick haircut, back to Summerville  for afternoon appointment,  a walk through the Halloween  exhibits in Town Square, check on Carrie as she had a second ER trip last night  in a couple of days. She is to be resting and Charlotte is helping out.

Maddie and I shopped for bargains while putting together character outfits from Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel as well as Amelia  Bedelia.  Character parade at school next week! Jack ran errands with Poppy.

A first haircut

18 months old.

Six more weeks...

... until  Daniel's  arrival.

Teacher work day = no school

I took a day of leave to attend report card conferences and a meeting about the kids. They  burned off a little energy in the afternoon  at a park. Maddie has good upper body strength. Jack? Not so much as he is more of a turtle.

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest  after mass. KT showed up to visit for about an hour after a week of no contact - too busy to even call to check on them.

Separation of Church and State

The darling duo needed separate  time today so Jack went fishing with Poppy. Maddie and I went shopping, visited Carrie, and took home Maddie's garage sale $5 easel (she bargained the price down from $10 on her own).

Fall is in the air.

Jack was so happy to play cars with the neighbor this evening.

The Pumpkin Patch at Legare Farms.

We love this laid back event on Johns Island.  The farm, on the Stono River, has been in the Legare family  for 9 generations.  Spencer rode his first horse and went on his first hay ride.

Back to the Beach

Temps in the upper 80s! Beautiful weather and the sea breeze diminishes the sounds of the sibling squabbles.

18 month old check up

25 lbs. and 35" tall. Spencer has really grown, but still not taking more than a couple of steps at a time without holding onto something. A referral has been made for physical therapy.

Sunny first Sunday of October.

It was cool this morning, but not enough that hell froze over. Kristy did attend mass, but her visit was brief after lunch. The kids enjoyed the day.

October on the Isle of Palms

We spent most of today on the beach. Sweet October!

A miracle!

Charlotte was up and ready for ride to a job interview when I left Charleston  at 6:30 this morning!
