It rained the entire first day, but the sun came out the second day of a conference in North Myrtle Beach. I just enjoy my "vacations" from home!

Sunny Sunday

                                    

It was so good to see the sunshine again today.

I tricked Charlotte into taking a walk with me. Of course, I had to walk the boardwalk the first time while she sat at a picnic table. I was able to get her to take a couple of turns with me so we could "leave now."

Thanks to Kristy for the new pictures of Jack. This one is right after his new haircut.

Safe Haven - Can't Let You Go

Ok, I am not a big Nicholas Sparks fan. I usually end up being disgusted after reading one of the books because they are such formula written books. This book wasn't as bad as some, so why did I go see the movie this rainy Saturday? The scenery of Southport, NC comes across on the big screen so beautifully. The movie was a B movie, but a B plus.

A good way to cap off a rainy work day in Columbia was a visit with some of my favorite people!

Thursday afternoon in Beaufort

A couple of hours in the Charleston office, drive to Beaufort in time for a quick lunch outside in the sunny 72 degree weather, attend program at USCB where trash art is on exhibit, check out the azaela blooms at the office and the scenery across the street, looking over the bay. Back to Charleston this evening.

A Maddie Monday

Maddie, Carrie and I visited the finished house today (closing later this week).

The conversation? "Where is my room?"

"Ok, I get it, this is Spencer's room, but there are two more bedrooms upstairs and an office downstairs and no place for me to sleep?"

"Don't worry, I'll find a place, this tub looks comfy enough."

The conversation? "Why is everything for and about that baby? I would like to make one for my room. Ok, I will help you cross stitch for Spencer, but then we have to get one for

M A D I S O N, I am the oldest, but can be the baby Madison if you want."

SEWE Saturday

It was a good thing we had an early start today as the weather turned miserable mid afternoon.

Julie Scardino, Seaworld and Busch Gardens Animal Ambassador led a talk and live animal presentation @ the Charleston Music Hall.

Charlotte must have really wanted to go this year as she was up and dressed before me!

We checked out exhibits in Marion Square and various venues on King St. before landing at the Charleston Place Ballroom for the sculpture, paintings, etc.

Hunger drew us back up King St to Pita Plus.

The weather took a turn for the worse after a late lunch as the wind blew in snowflakes and rain.

Two of a kind!

The rain increased so Charlotte and I went inside the Embassy Suites to warm up before all decided outdoor activities were over for the day.

We chose to indulge in a little Hometeam BBQ. It was rocking with Juke Joint Johnny, an oyster roast and the usual scrumptious bbq.

Ordinary Saturday for Some

Charlotte and I took care of the grocery shopping, a trip to Tanger for a few items, B and N so Charlotte could problem solve her Nook, along with a few other stops. It was a beautiful day, but cool. Of course Charlotte needed a nap and to spend the rest of the evening on the sofa tonight!

Some people (Gene) enjoyed a warmer afternoon on Amelia Island with his brother and family.
