Wedding Planning

After much investigation, the nuptials will be almost at home.

An outside wedding it will be if we receive approval from the HOA for a tent on this site. Otherwise, the wedding will be on the covered deck of the clubhouse.

Sunday with the Wild Ones

They had an overnight with their daycare provider as their parents went on an overnight boat trip and campout from Charleston to Hilton Head/Daufuskie Island then back to Charleston this afternoon. I don't know how much they slept or how much sugar they had, but were wild from the time Poppy picked them up, thru breakfast and baths, and on the way to church. They did good in church because they both got to stay with Miss Maricella who said they had to be good or go into regular mass.

Back to being wild in the car and at Jack's Cosmic Dogs. They finally blew off enough steam and settled down after a while in the pool.

Saturday on Bohicket Creek and @ the Marina

Charlotte and Gene went fishing, putting in at Cherry Point on Wadmalaw.

Charlotte threw the castnet for bait, took a few pictures then took a nap as she had to be at work at 9 pm.

Steamy Sunday @ Beaufort Water Festival

More weekend work, but all good as we participated in Children's Day @ the Water Festival. It was sunny, cloudy, stormy, hazy, and steaming in between until I headed back to Charleston about 5pm.

Kristy and the children were out in their boat today. Charlotte thinks the dog will be hers one day and has named him Rex.

Working on Saturday

Training @ the Beaufort office in the morning. Check out the new planting in front of the office.

Then over to Parris Island housing for a training in the afternoon. I went to the James Otto concert in the evening. The humidity was incredible.

John Mayer - Neon(Live in LA) [High Def!]

Gene: "I love that new song, Neon." Me: "That's not new, John Mayer did that years ago." Gene:"No, it's a beautiful new song by Chris Young." So, I saw the Chris Young video and it is an ok song, but only shares the name of John Mayer's Neon. You will have to check out the Chris Young video if you want, but if you watch this first, why would you  mess with perfection?

Weekend in the Upstate

A weekend trip to Travelers Rest, my first since an overnight stay on a return trip from Nashville in February, 2010. Here's to hoping there is a longer interval between this and the next visit.

A sing and strum along with Gene, his brother Dale, and Dale's son, Zach.

We did buy some local peaches, fig preserves, and an orange hot sauce. Overall, too hot to be that far inland.

Going Home

It was a full morning as all three children had to be up and ready to go by 8:45 am. The most difficult one? Not these two. They were sweet and playful, but not interested in a picture.

Pool time on the 4th of July

They were more interested in feeding the turtles and getting in the pool than posing for pictures.
